Due to the extreme heat and humidity, both mercury vapor meters were intermittently malfunctioning during the course of the day.
The mobile unit did not record reliable data during the monitoring of the athletic field. The equipment vendor was notified and a replacement unit was delivered to the work site at the end of the day.
The downwind monitoring station did record periods of reliable data which did not indicate any elevated readings. This is consistent with personnel monitoring of mercury vapor being conducted in the work zone.
Work activities consisted of some minor excavation in the morning and predominantly load-out of trucks and receipt of backfill during the day.
